If you’re a fan of mint, great news for the health of your digestive system! Mint has been clinically studied by GI doctors for its naturally safe ability to sooth intestinal tissues and take pain away (analgesic). To store mint, wrap in a paper towel, tuck inside a zipper lock bag and store in your crisper for up to 1 week. Wash mint before using.

Serves 1

Ingredients

1/2 ripe pear
1/2 cup plain reduced fat yogurt or kefir
1/3 cup protein powder
4 ice cubes
2 tablespoons mint leaves
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
2 tablespoons ground flax
1 teaspoon stevia

Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender along with 1/2 cup water and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

Note: If you’re using Greek yogurt, add an additional 1/4 cup water

  • Swap the pear for honeydew.
  • Swap almonds for ground flax or hemp seeds.
