Chocolate Avocado Milkshake

Chocolate Avocado MilkshakeAvocado in a milkshake might sound unusual, but in Vietnam it’s a traditional treat that you can order in local restaurants. Enjoy a creamy, rich shake while getting a serving of vegetables to boot!

Serves 2

Ingredients

1/2 ripe Hass avocado

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons coca powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cup skim milk

Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on high until smooth and serve over ice.

Nutritional Stats Per Serving (2 cups)

169 calories. 8 g protein, 23 g carbohydrates, 6 g fat (1 g saturated), 0 mg cholesterol, 4 g fiber, 103 mg sodium.

    • I’m so glad, it’s one of my favorites too! This shake contains the “good” kind, provided by the potassium rich avocado – you won’t find any of that in a fast food shake!

  2. OK – I love, love, love the Avocado Milkshake. I am a “chocoholic” and this is a much healthier way to help those cravings. I’ve tricked a few people with this shake and didn’t tell them avocado was in it and no one was the wiser.

    We enjoyed your Chocolate Avocado Milkshake and started to wonder how would it taste like to use Strawberry. So…I made the decision to try making – Strawberry Avocado Milkshake and WE LOVE IT!!!!!

    Blend together:
    1 cup frozen Strawberry
    1/2 ripe Hass avocado
    2 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    1 1/2 cup skim milk
